Volunteer Training |
|
Volunteers attend
comprehensive
training offered by
a team of nurses,
social workers,
volunteers and
various specialized
team members.
Training can be as
few as an hour
or more in depth
training will be
provided for those
interested in direct
patient care.
Trained volunteers
work under the
direction of the
Directors of
Volunteers and in
collaboration with
the Hospice Team. |

Volunteers are
the heart of
hospice! You can
become a part of our
team in many ways
such as: |

Patient &
Family Care
Assist with
patient and
family needs
through respite
and family
support. Your
support could be
directly for the
patient or
giving family
members a break,
providing help
with running
errands and
housework or
lending
emotional
support.

Office Helper
Copy, file
and assist with
general office
tasks. Help with
projects,
mailings and
greeting guests
and visitors.

Fundraising
Specialists
Plan and
coordinate
events
throughout the
year. Become
involved in our
Annual Run/Walk,
Golf Outings,
Poker Runs, Tree
of Remembrance
Celebration and
our Cookie Walk
& Craft Sale.

Speaker's
Bureau -
Enjoy
speaking to a
group?
This role is
for you! Speak
on behalf of
hospice at local
civic groups and
churches on a
variety of
topics. Assist
with health
fairs and
community
presentations.
